Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) and IGED Jr. are annual events hosted by the Kansas City Section of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE-KC) and sponsored by many local businesses. The purpose is for young women to get a taste of what an engineer is and what they do. Middle school students are invited each fall and high school students are invited each spring for a day of activities that are fun as well as informative.
